- In 1981, County Executive Ron Dunlap established the Intergovernmental Relations and Program Development Office as a unit in the Office of the Executive. Previously existing (1972-1980) as the Program Development Division of the Department of Budget and Program Development, the office continued into the administration of County Executive Randy Revelle (1981-1985). Under the name Office of Program Development, the function of the office in the Revelle administration was to oversee development of new, large-scale county policy and program initiatives. The office initially continued into the administration of County Executive Tim Hill (1985 -1993) but was ultimately not retained as such. This series, principally composed of outgoing letters and their accompanying or associated material, documents office activities in the Dunlap, Revelle, and Hill administrations.
