Scope :
Fifty-five black and white photographic prints of historic flooding and flood control facilities that were constructed by the Department of Public Works from the 1930's through the 1970's. The photos illustrate methods used to armor river banks and cut off meanders to prevent flooding. Most of the prints are 16" x 20" and are mounted on various sizes of mat board. Photographs are of the Snoqualmie River, the Green River, Patterson creek, Cedar River, Kimball Creek, the Raging River, and the "Andover Industrial and Commercial Site." Some are aerial views. Most of the photos have been digitized.
